Paze is an online checkout solution offered by participating banks and credit unions that is designed to enhance ease. It allows consumers to check out without sharing their actual card numbers with merchants by using tokenization instead. Eligible credit and debit cards are pre-loaded into the Paze wallet, reducing the need to manually enter card details during checkout.
You can use Paze in three easy steps:
- Open your participating bank or credit union’s mobile app or website and locate the digital wallet section.
- Select Paze and complete the activation prompts.
- Shop at participating merchant sites and when checking out, select Paze and enter the email address or phone number associated with your financial institution to access your wallet.
Using Paze is fast and convenient. Paze is designed to provide a streamlined online checkout experience. Because transactions use tokenization, a consumer’s card number and information is not shared with merchants. Eligible credit and debit cards are automatically pre-loaded into the Paze wallet, allowing for fast checkout without manually entering card details.
Paze supports eligible credit and debit cards issued by participating banks and credit unions. Currently, eight of the nation’s largest banks including Bank of America, Capital One, Chase, Citi, PNC, Truist, U.S. Bank, and Wells Fargo support Paze. Consumers can see which of their cards are eligible by logging into their financial institution’s mobile app or website.
Consumers do not need to complete a separate sign-up process to use Paze. Instead, they can activate the service through their participating bank or credit union’s mobile app or website. When shopping online, consumers can select Paze at checkout with participating merchants or enter the email address or phone number associated with their financial institution to access their wallet.
Consumers can opt out of Paze by visiting paze.com/optout after their participating bank or credit union has added eligible cards to the service. Financial institutions notify customers when their cards are added. For additional assistance, consumers are advised to contact their bank or credit union directly.
Paze can be used for online checkout with participating merchants. A current list of merchants that offer Paze is available here.
